Space Frame System

A space frame or space structure (3D truss) is a rigid, lightweight, truss-like structure constructed from interlocking struts in a geometric pattern. Space frames can be used to span large areas with few internal support.

Space frame systems offer a combination of strength, versatility, and aesthetics, making them a popular choice for various architectural and engineering projects.

Features and Benefits
  • Lightweight: Space frames are typically made from lightweight materials like steel or aluminum, making them efficient for spanning large areas.
  • High Strength: Despite their lightweight nature, space frames offer exceptional strength and load-bearing capabilities.
  • Versatility: They can be customized to various shapes and sizes, making them suitable for a wide range of architectural and engineering applications.
  • Aesthetics: Space frames often have an aesthetically pleasing and futuristic appearance, making them popular for modern building designs.
  • Large Span Capability: They excel in spanning long distances without the need for many internal supports, making them ideal for sports arenas and exhibition halls.
  • Durability: Space frames are known for their durability and resistance to environmental factors like corrosion, making them suitable for outdoor structures.
  • Modular Construction: They are assembled using modular components, which simplifies construction and allows for easy expansion or modification.
  • Efficient Use of Materials: Space frames use materials efficiently, reducing waste and cost.
  • Transparent Roofs: Space frames can incorporate transparent materials like glass or ETFE to create transparent roofs, allowing natural light into enclosed spaces.
  • Structural Integrity: Their triangulated geometry provides excellent structural stability and even distribution of loads.
  • The holes are well treated before painting in order for smooth assembly.
  • The bold ball is made of 45# steel with diameter of 100mm to 300mm.
  • Normally there are 3-12 holes in the bolt ball and each axial line of the bolt hole is through the center of the ball.
  • Spheres are appropriately shaped, faceted, and threaded through a 5 degrees of freedom machining center.
  • Cone is small components of space frame. Cone uses Q235 steel or 45# steel.
  • Our cone products is well forged and with a nice smooth surface.
  • The thicker material can provide strong load-bearing capacity.
  • Rods are made by Q235/ Q355 steel tubes of circular section.
  • Cones are welded to the rod ends.
  • Welding is performed by an especially designed machinery.
